Antique engraving. Made on Arches paper using lithography technique. Lithograph, made from gouache (1945) by Marc Chagall and under his direction. This work is an illustration for the ballet “The Firebird”; it was assumed that the image would become one of the stage design options. In 1945, Chagall designed the sets and costumes for the New York production of Igor Stravinsky's ballet The Firebird. The engraving is framed with museum glass. France, Paris, 1969.
