Reuter Mikhail Grigorievich (1916-1993) - Russian graphic artist, illustrator. In 1946 he graduated from the graphic department of the Moscow Art Institute and in the same year was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR. By 1947, he was awarded an honorary diploma for his illustrations at the 1st World Festival of Democratic Youth in Prague.One of the first works of M. Reuter was illustrations to the works of F. M. Dostoevsky: “The Brothers Karamazov”, “Demons”, “Teenager”.

His favorite theme was sports, many of his works of the 1950s and 1960s are devoted to Soviet sport and athletes. The master tried himself in many genres - he drew with a pen, worked in the technique of monotype, linocut and lithography, achieved particular success in etching. And since the late 1970s, he has concentrated on watercolor technique, perpetuating the changing faces of Moscow and Leningrad.
