Geoffrey Humphries, a famous figurative artist, was born in 1945 in England. After graduating from London's Chelsea College of Art and Design, he moved to Italy. Already there he entered the Academy of Fine Arts and received his first highest award in 1974. After studying in Florence and Rome, he moved to Venice, which became the artist’s home. For more than fifty years, his studio has been a center of attraction for prominent personalities, from members of royal families to famous painters and musicians. There he gives life drawing lessons. The artist's works are in private collections and museums in Russia and abroad. The works of Geoffrey Humphries are still extremely popular today, and certainly have collector's value.
