Antique marble toro lantern. Japan, XX century

Toro's Japanese lantern was used to decorate temples. For each section of the garden and park zone was created, lanterns were created in different shapes. The lantern consists of several parts: a base, a support, a stand for a light chamber, a light chamber, a roof and a top. A small candle is placed in the lantern, the fire of which sways and creates a mysterious atmosphere in the garden.
