The founding fathers of the Lladro brand are three brothers Juan, Jose and Vincent Core. In 1953. they built a Moorish oven for baking ceramic products in their family home in Valencia using their own single-firing technology. Five years later, the demand for the Core brothers' products increased and they opened a company store, already in 1962, a school of sculptors for training personnel was opened on the territory of the factory in Taberns Blanks.
In the mid-60s, several employees left the company with a scandal and organized their own production using Lladro technologies. As a result of the confrontation, Lladro creates a subsidiary company Rosal, now known as the Nao brand with its characteristic products. In 2003, the Core family divided the business between the heirs of three brothers, as a result, each founder's father represents two children on the board of directors.
