Mecurius (Hermes) is one of the most recognizable gods of the Roman pantheon. In legends, he appears as a messenger of the gods - his distinctive feature, a winged helmet and winged sandals, beckon him to quickly complete orders. This model was cast on the model of the work of the Italian sculptor Giovanni Bologna (Giambologna), the original is kept in the Museum of Florence and is known as "Mercury, setting out to fulfill the orders of Jupiter", or "Flying Mercury". The young man soars, holding the symbol of the heralds of the caduceus in his hands, and one of his legs rests on a stream of air blown out by another divine messenger - Zefr. Such a sculpture will become a symbolic gift for a traveler or a person working in the field of trade.
