The Bing & Grendal Manufactory was founded in April 1853 by the sculptor Grendal and the banker Bing. A remarkable detail of the products of this manufactory is a certain "blurring" of images due to high-temperature firing of underglaze paints. This company is best known for its decorative Christmas plates, the first production of which began on Christmas Eve 1895.
