Original coasters for cutlery
Antique coasters for cutlery. Made from an alloy of tin and silver. They have an original appearance in the form of monkeys that wrapped their paws around each other. The coasters are stamped Kayserzinn, number 4591. The coasters are in good condition. They will be a stylish addition to your table setting. Germany, early 20th century.
Kayserzinn is a company founded in 1862 in Düsseldorf by the Kaiser family. The company developed a special alloy of tin and silver, which gave the products a beautiful lasting shine.
All pewter objects of Kaiserzinn are numbered from the number "4000" and marked with the word "Kayserzinn". The first product under the number "4000" was made in 1894-5, the last one, under the number "4999", was released in 1925.
