Very little is known about the life of Eugene Alain Seguy (1889 - 1985). He worked in Paris, the period of his active work fell on 1900-1925. His skill is clearly visible in those works that have come down to us. Unusual is his ability to combine the features of Art Nouveau and Art Deco in his work. From 1900 to 1930, Seguy created 11 albums of illustrations and ornaments. His ornaments have become classics of design and composition, as well as a source of inspiration for many generations of designers.
