Rare antique cabinet (sideboard) of two parts in the Renaissance style. France, 19th century, solid walnut, reproduced from the original royal furniture of the 16th century, which is kept in the museum. But the office itself already has museum status.The upper part closes with three doors; a carved door opens with a bas-relief depicting Apollo, made according to an engraving by Raphael. A complex composition consisting of human figures and masks, carved leaves and flowers frames (surrounds) Apollo. Each of the two side doors is decorated with a carved panel depicting a nymph in a niche (recess). The upper part and the lower main part are separated from each other by a strip-shaped panel with a drawer in the middle. The lower part is decorated with carved panels on both sides, and each side represents the emerging figure of a sphinx in the form of a console. They all stand on a wide base, which is supported by six legs. The entire cabinet is crowned by a small pediment in a chamfered frame, which supports a panel with a medallion in the center, decorated with the cross of Lorraine.
