Petr Karlovich Klodt (Peter Clodt von Jürgensburg; 1805-1867) is a famous Russian animalist sculptor of German origin. The author's most significant works: the design of the Narva Gate, "Horse Tamers" of the Anichkov Bridge, the reconstruction of the service building of the Marble Palace, monuments to Nicholas I, Prince Vladimir of Kyiv, Krylov. In addition to monumental sculpture, the author also worked in the direction of small-scale sculpture. Especially popular are images of horses, which the master loved since childhood. Klodt's works are in museum collections (the State Russian Museum), in private collections.
