Antique sculpture Ebisu, Japan, 20th century. The figure of the god Ebisu is made of patinated bronze, in his hands is a red perch (red pagr or tai). The god Ebisu patronizes trade and fishing, is one of the representatives of Shintoism and the seven gods of happiness (shichifukujin). The sculpture is marked, located on a wooden base made of mahogany. Red is the color of luck, health, well-being, a symbol of offering and favor to the god.
