Italy, 19th century. The engravings depict views of the former hospital, known as the Bonifacio or Bonifacio hospital, a historic institution in Florence, restored in 1930 and today a large part of the building is occupied by the police and the electoral office (Florence). The building is also listed in 1901 as a monumental building considered a national artistic heritage. The second engraving illustrates the Piazza Sant'Annunciation, one of the squares in Italy that brings together many buildings in the Italian Renaissance style.Original images for the engravings: artist, architect Giovanni Battista Silvestri (1796-1873); Angelo Copiardi (mid-19th century). Engraver: Verico Antonio (1775/1822). It is believed that the works may date back to the period when the engraver Antonio Verico worked in Florence.
