Antique paired candlesticks in Empire or directory style. They are made of patinated bronze with gilding. France, 19th century . The candlesticks are two fluted columns of the Corinthian order with ornate bases decorated with acanthus leaves.  Candlesticks of this type were in use at the beginning of the 19th century and are a valuable collector's item.
