Antique vase Legras & Cie. Made of frosted glass. There is a marking. France, 1920s.
Legras & Cie was founded by Auguste-Jean-Francois Legra in 1864. Production was in the French town of Saint-Denis. In 1900, Auguste Legra concentrated on the Art Nouveau style, almost all the works of the company were made in this style. In 1909, the case passed into the hands of Auguste's son, Charles. Between 1914 and 1925, Legras expanded its range and patented all new glass processing methods. The style of the company was influenced by cooperation with Rene Lallique: a series of perfume bottles was created together with the designer. Thanks to this, vases and bottles made of frosted glass came into fashion.
