Antique table
Antique table. Made of walnut. The model was made in the cabinetmaker Christian Crassus in Leon. Europe, the 1950s.
Christian Crassus (1868-1957) - French cabinetmaker who worked in Lyon. He became famous for the high quality of his products. Crassus graduated from the Aubusson School of Decorative Arts, and then worked with the master Emile-Jacques Rulman (1879-1933). Despite the fact that his teacher preferred Art Deco, most of Crassus' works are done in a modernist style. Collectors appreciate the work of Christian Crassus for uniqueness: even the "serial" work was carried out by him in no more than two or three copies. Most often Crassus used rare wood species.
