Antique picture representing a languid young woman sitting in an armchair. She was almost completely naked, but slightly covered her legs with silk cloth. A table lamp and a lot of fabrics and shadows in the picture create a certain mystery of the situation. Canvas, oil. France, the beginning of the XX century. At work, there is a signature of the author: "D.T Richard."
Richard Durando-Togo, born in 1910 in Buenos Aires, is an artist of Argentinean origin. He spent most of his life in Italy and France, starting in 1934. In 1968, he received the International Grand Prix for painting. An artist with a very personal style, whose “nudes” retain sophistication and elegance.
