Antique painting "Dreams". Gouache, watercolor on paper. The picture presents to the viewer a naked girl lying in a relaxed position, half asleep. In the lower left corner, the author's signature is Tytgat Médard. Belgium, 1909.
Medar Titgat (1871-1948) - Belgian artist. Born in Bruges, he was educated there at the Academy of Fine Arts under Eugene Legendre. From 1890 to 1894 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels under Jan Portals. In painting, his portraits, nudes and landscapes are known. Titgat exhibited at the Brussels Triennial in 1914. He also exhibited in Liège, Ghent and Paris at the Salon des lndépendants. The paintings of this artist can be found at antique auctions and in private collections.
