Hugo Cipriani (1897–1960) was an Italian sculptor who was born in Florence on August 13, 1897. The son of a sculptor, he studied at the famous Academy of Fine Arts of Florence.
Around 1935, he left Italy and went to France to escape the fascist government of Mussolini. He lived in Paris as a political refugee, where he continued to practice his craft until his death. He produced many art deco sculptures in a variety of materials, including bronze, gauntlet and terracotta.
