Austrian painting Karl Kaufman specialized in landscape painting. Despite the fact that he traveled extensively in Europe, Italy was the main source of inspiration for the landscape painter. Most of his works are precisely Italian landscapes, although he gained his fame thanks to the landscapes of the Norwegian fjords. Kaufman graduated from the Vienna Academy.
