Vintage neo-renaissance stained glass window
An unusual stained glass window in the neo-Renaissance style with a courtly plot. Made of églomisé glass by Segeron Frères. The églomisé glass technique came to France from Italy at the beginning of the 18th century. It is believed that the first to use it was the royal decorator Jean-Baptiste Glomy (1711-1786), who designed the palace premises first for Louis XV, and then for his successor Louis XVI. Glomy most often used the eglomise technique in the production of glass prints. This stained glass window was made to order in one of the workshops in Poitiers. France, XIX century.
