Guy Lemm or Marguerite Lemaire was born in the Vosges in 1888. Self-taught, she, following the example of Colette's gun, took a pseudonym for herself to sign her paintings. A wealthy young girl, she moved in high society. Her work amazes with liveliness, mischievous, deep, even intimate character, it describes the social life of the twenties. He attends fashion shows at the salons of stylist Rose Valois. In 1910 she married the painter Hans Eckegard. Together they exhibit their work at the Salon of Independent Artists, the Autumn Salon and the Tuileries Salon. In 1925 she exhibited in Paris with a group of women - artists, including Marie Laurencin.
