Jean-Baptiste Auguste Klesinger is a French sculptor and painter. The first works of the sculptor were exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1847. The sculpture "Woman stung by a snake" has become a real sensation of the season. In 1849 he received a Knight Commander of the Order of the Legion of Honor, and in 1864 - an officer of the Order of the Legion of Honor. Most of the time the sculptor works in Rome. Now his work is exhibited in many European museums.
