After the defeat of the Gauls, Caesar imprisoned Vercingetorix in the Mamertine prison in Rome, where he spent five years in captivity until his death. At the foot of the author's signature - Laporte. France, XIX century.Emile Louis Laporte (1858-1907) - French sculptor and medalist. He was educated at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
