A crystal manufacturing factory in the city of Baccarat was founded in 1764. Subsequently, the world famous brand of crystal was also named as the city in which the factory was located - Baccarat. Initially, the company produced glass for windows and mirrors, and later mastered the manufacture of glassware, lighting, and other evenings. In the second half of the XIX century, due to the high technical level, complex faceting and original forms, the brand's products became very popular and were even awarded a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1855. The factory has two museums of its own, where you can find the most interesting samples of production. Factory products can also be found in private collections.
