Vintage author's vase, Kutani, Japan
Vintage classic Japanese vase by Kutani workshops in the Tenmoku style using gold and silver in the decoration, with an image of cranes flying over a forest on a dark background of a mountain range. ("Golden trees, mountain ranges and cranes"). Japan, the twentieth century. Kutani-yaki products are known for their unique painting technique: First, the contours are applied using a dark blue pigment called gosu, and then thick layers of five bright colors are applied - red, yellow, green, purple and ultramarine, which are collectively called gosai. The products are decorated with bright overglaze and underglaze paintings, creating a certain relief and giving the vase an expressive look.
