Antique vase. Porcelain, craquelure, hand-painted. On the back there is a factory mark and the artist's initials. Holland, 1940s.

Delft has been producing high-quality products since 1653. The color scheme of Delft porcelain is blue and white. The famous blue color is due to the content of cobalt oxide pigment in the black paint. These colors are associated with Gzhel, and this is not a coincidence. The combination of the Gzhel manufactory was borrowed from the Delft masters.

A characteristic feature of porcelain is the use of multiple glazing technique. Due to the fact that the final firing is carried out at a low temperature, the quality of the products produced is more reminiscent of earthenware.
