Antique double-door linen wardrobe in the style of Louis XVI. Western Europe,  19th century.Neoclassical style or true style is a reverent attitude to the revival of the style of King Louis XVI, which was distinguished by the severity of lines, the nobility of decor and restraint in contrast to the frivolity of Rococo. The classical style was greatly influenced by the cultures of Ancient Rome and Greece, or rather, excavations, as a result of which the pristine beauty of ancient cultures was revealed to the world.The item is made of solid mahogany. The carved cornice has a slight bend with a decorative foliate ornament, nevertheless, the severity of the Louis XVI style is maintained. Inside there are shelves, a small rod, fittings - bronze. The cabinet is complemented by a lower pull-out drawer with bronze rectangular handles in the form of torches.The sides of the cabinet itself are decorated with a carved motif in the form of pilasters (usually columns were decorated this way). The doors are decorated with elegant garlands of acanthus leaves, the top is decorated with multiple carvings with rich detailing in the form of a plant motif and a twisted ribbon with a bow, the side parts are decorated with an unblown acanthus flower. The facades of the hinged doors are complemented by beveled mirrors
