The vase depicts the Tianlong celestial dragons, this is confirmed both by the characteristic appearance of these mythical creatures and the clouds surrounding them: according to legend, the breath of the Tianlong dragon forms swirls or flames when this magical entity senses danger. The heavenly dragon symbolizes strength and nobility. It is believed that Tianlong is present at the birth of the emperor and leaves a special mark on the baby’s face. On the body of the vase there is a handwritten marking 景德鎮製 (Chinese: Jǐngdézhèn zhì) - the signature of the Jingdezhen workshop. China, XX century
