These incense burners are a symbolic image of Tibetan snow lions, known in the Buddhist tradition as Sen. Snow lions occupy a revered place in Buddhism, acting as protectors of Buddha. They symbolize the four fearlessnesses of Buddha and the element of earth. The faithful servant of the bodhisattvas conveys such qualities as courage, determination and cheerfulness to their owners. In this work, the Sen lions are depicted with the characteristic features of Fo dogs, where the boy holds a ball in his paws, and the girl - a cub.
