An antique painting "Harvesting corn." Canvas, oil. USSR, 1960s. Sleta Petr Dorofeevich, (1911 - 1974) Ukrainian painter. Was born in with. Panyutino, Kharkiv region. He graduated from the KHI (1940). A pupil of the outstanding Ukrainian artist F. Krichevsky. Member of republican and all-Union exhibitions since 1947. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Laureate of the State Prize. T. Shevchenko. Honored Artist of the USSR from 1973. Author of portraits, landscapes, still lifes and thematic paintings. The works are kept in the NHMU, the Berdyansk XM, the Alupkinsky Palace Museum and many others.
