Painting "To Work" from the original written by Viktor Popkov in 1958 during one of his trips to large-scale construction projects in the USSR. Popkov Viktor Efimovich - Soviet artist, graphic artist. Laureate of the USSR State Prize. Studied at the Art and Graphics Pedagogical School (1948-1952) and the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I.Surikov (1952-1958) under EA Kibrik.


VE Popkov's career began in the period of the “thaw”. In the 1950s-1960s, the artist traveled extensively around the country. He visited Irkutsk, Bratsk and other cities and regions of Siberia, where large-scale projects were being carried out at that time. Under the impressions of his trips, he completed a series of works.
