Rustam Usmanovich Khamdamov (b. 1944) is a film director, screenwriter, artist, member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Graduated from VGIK. During his creative career, he received many prestigious awards in the field of cinema. He was recognized as the best artist in the world (1991-1996, Paris). Participant of numerous Russian and foreign exhibitions. He took part in creating sketches of jewelry for haute couture houses in Milan, Paris, New York.

The artist's works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Zimmerli Museum of Rotkers University (USA), the National Gallery of Ravenna, as well as in numerous private collections around the world. In 2003, R. Khamdamov became the first Russian artist in history whose works were accepted into the modern collection of the Hermitage during his lifetime.
