An antique Imari dish. Made of porcelain. The Meiji Era. Japan, the 19th century.

At the very heart of the dish is a snow-white circle, into which is inscribed an elegant vase-basket with a high handle, filled to the brim with blooming peonies and chrysanthemums.Around the center, according to the principle of three-ray symmetry, large shaped reserves in the form of stylized mallow leaves or diamond-shaped clouds diverge.
