Antique chest
Antique chest in the Renaissance style. Made from walnut. Decorated with rich carvings in the form of acanthus leaves. Before us is the so-called chest - cassone, it is also a wedding chest. A young Italian wife took such chests to her husband's house, with a rich dowry inside. The more noble the bride's family was, the richer were the chests - cassone. Italy, XIX century.
