Vintage planter "Flowers and Birds". Made from porcelain. The body is decorated with a traditional Chinese plot "Flowers and Birds". The very roots of this pictorial genre are rooted in the period of the 5th century BC, the beginning of the so-called period of the Warring States. Despite the fact that this genre is most often used to describe paintings, it takes its origins from Chinese poetry, which conveyed the mood through the description of flora and birds. Sometimes verses or fragments of phrases related to this genre are placed on paintings. The pots presented in our gallery depict peonies, symbolizing nobility and wealth. China, second half of the 20th century.
