Antique hanging plates "Ships". Made of porcelain, decorated with skillful painting in the form of sailing ships. On the reverse side there is the name of the depicted vessel, the name of the series and the brand of production.

The porcelain factory Porsgrunds was founded in 1885 by shipowner Johan Jeremiassen. Creating a business, Jeremiassen collaborated with Karl Maria Bauer from Germany. This Norwegian factory produced the first porcelain items on February 2, 1887.

In 1909 Porsgrunds produced the first Christmas plates. After a few years, they ceased production of these products and resumed production in 1968 - 1977. Their Easter series was produced in 1972 - 1977.

The factory collaborated with Norwegian artists such as Ferdinand Finne, Theodor Kittelsen, Frans Wiederberg and Odd Nerdrum. Since 1996, the factory has been owned by Atle Brynestad CG Holding AS.

Porsgrunds Porselain is the only factory in Norway that still produces porcelain. Porsgrund is the main manufacturer of cutlery and porcelain for the Norwegian royal family.

The price is for one plate.
