The German company Alka Kunst is famous for its gold painting on porcelain.

In 1872, August Albot founded a small porcelain manufactory. His son Ernst joined his father's company, which was the beginning of the creation of Albot & Kaiser. In 1899, Ernst moves the company from the Duchy of Coburg to Bavaria. There he is building a new factory. In 1925, Ernst's son Willy joins his father and brother in the management of the company. After Ernst's death, the company's new name became "Alka-Kunst", a combination of the first two letters of each surname "Albot" and "Kaiser".
