Antique pair vases
Antique pair vases made of porcelain. The vases are hand painted using the "Family Rose" technique. The central part of the vase depicts the Eight Immortals floating on the water. Caoshu calligraphy is applied on the reverse side. The neck of the vase is decorated with floral ornaments. China, XX century.
The "Famille Rose" style, sometimes referred to as "Yangcai" or "foreign colors", originated in the 18th century and uses a pastel palette of opaque overglaze enamels favoring roses and carnations. The vase is marked with the brand: Literary work (creativity) of Emperor Qianlong.
