The original tapestry was woven at the end of the 19th century at the Royal Tapestry Manufactory for the protection of the State Archives of France from the cardboards of the artist Jean-Paul Laurens. The inscription on the tapestry "Fortis et fidelis" - "strong and faithful" knights will guard your home.
