Liana Viktorovna El-Safadi, born in 1969, is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Her works have been featured in numerous exhibitions in our country and abroad. Liana began her journey into the world of painting in a family where the traditions of icon painting and drawing were part of everyday life. She completed her studies at the children's art school in Feodosia and continued to develop her skills by studying the countries of the near abroad. In the 1980s, her interests led to research into the mysterious East, which had a significant impact on her artistic perception and style. In 1992, Liana entered the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts, where she studied under the guidance of French masters of painting and drawing. Since 1994, she has been actively participating in exhibitions not only at her university, but also outside it. At the beginning of her career, Liana worked in the style of realism, creating scenes of everyday life, landscapes, abstract works and images of people's faces. However, her approach to portraying reality has changed.: She began experimenting with various techniques and textures, allowing her to step beyond the usual painting. It was at this stage that her fascination with Russian folk art, childhood memories of her parents' work with icons, as well as impressions of the patriotic painting of the 1920s were reflected.
