France, 19th century.Artist – Charles Lenglet (Charles Antoine Aman Lenglet, 1791/1855), also an engraver, jeweler, painter, sculptor. His works were exhibited at the Paris Salon and are kept in private collections around the world. The landscapes depict single figures, which the artist often depicted, one against the backdrop of a lake and grove, the second walking across a bridge towards houses. The artist’s paintings can still be found at auctions, but this happens less and less often. The landscapes are signed, with the author’s signature.
