Vintage chest of drawers shaped like a "Bombé" (French: Commode Bombé) in the Baroque style. France, twentieth century. The "bomb" in furniture is the "potbellied" base of the chest of drawers, which seems to bulge it from the inside. Externally, the chest of drawers has two or three drawers and curved, neat legs. The contours of the chest of drawers are with convex curved side lines. Furniture appeared during the Regency period (1715-1723), the beginning of the 18th century. The transition from the style of Louis XIV, beautiful and more difficult to perceive, to a lighter style, Louis XV. The wood was processed traditionally, with hand-carving and dovetail fastening. The unique curved shape was created and shaped by a watchmaker.
