Vintage figurine "Calf" (more commonly called "Cow"). Designed by Knud Kühn (1880-1969) for Bing & Gröndahl. Marked "Bing & Gröndahl." Denmark, 20th century.The famous Bing & Gröndahl factory is a shining example in the history of Danish porcelain of the promising collaboration between original artistic vision and entrepreneurial aspiration. In 1853, artist and sculptor Frederik Wilhelm Gröndahl, together with the merchant brothers Meyer Hermann and Jacob Hermann Bing, signed a lucrative contract to establish a new porcelain manufacturing enterprise.
