Antique Empire style showcase. It is made of solid mahogany, varnished. The pommel is made of bronze in the form of a horse-drawn chariot. The upper part of the showcase is decorated with gilded bronze elements, in particular, the image of the god Hermes in a winged helmet and decorated with palm leaves. The central part (the door) is decorated with bronze plates in the form of muses who patronized art. The sides of the door are decorated with torches made of bronze, mascaras in the form of the rulers of Ancient Egypt – the pharaohs. In the lower niche there are bronze figures with a laurel wreath in their hands, a symbol dedicated to the god Apollo, who was also the patron saint of the arts. In the center is a medallion in the form of the god Helios (the sun god). The lower part is decorated with images of swans drinking from a decorative fountain. The niche is decorated on the sides with the image of female caryatid columns. France, the twentieth century.
