Rare pair of Bacchus vases
A pair of lidded vases, "Bacchus." Made of glass and decorated with bronze elements, the widest parts of the vases are encircled with bronze ornamentation in the form of grape stems. The central portions feature mascarons in the form of the head of Bacchus, the god of wine and merriment. The upper parts are shaped like lids with leaves and bunches of grapes. France, 19th century.
