Vase Lalique "Languedoc". It is made of amber glass. France, the twentieth century. The Lalique brand is one of the pillars of French glass and crystal, which became a symbol of the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco at the beginning of the 20th century. His works are known for their pure shapes, natural motifs and a special matte, satin finish. A significant part of the factory production was carried out in Alsace, in the town of Vingen-sur-Modre. The founder of the brand, Rene Lalique, was primarily a jeweler, but his name became famous due to glass products in the spirit of Arnuvo with floral and animal motifs. In addition to the iconic Bacchante vase, the Languedoc Languedoc vase, whose sketch was first designed by Rene Lalique himself in 1929, was popular. The designer was inspired by a trip to the nature reserves of the French province of Languedoc.
