The artist also paid special attention to the complex landscape, combining a large cloudy sky, distant snow-capped mountains and picturesque vegetation nearby. Talavera ceramics dates back to the traditions of the Roman Empire. Today, most of them are glazed earthenware. The products are covered with white tin glaze and hand-painted. In 2019, UNESCO added traditional methods of making Talavera ceramics to the list of intangible cultural heritage of mankind.
