An engraving depicting the "Porte des Lilas" Paris Métro station by artist Akemi Noguchi. The original engraving was created in 1988; this specific print was produced in 2008 for the artist's exhibition, "The Paris Métro Through the Eyes of Akemi Noguchi," held at the Musée Carnavalet.

Akemi Noguchi is a Japanese printmaker born in 1946. He has lived and worked in France since 1976. For the works in this exhibition, Noguchi selected ordinary, deserted stations, subsequently populating them with characters drawn from his imagination and emotions.
