Antique cast iron fireplace Pompadour
Antique chimney portal in Louis XV style. Made of cast iron in the famous Parisian art foundry LARCHER. France, early 20th century.
In the entire history of its existence, this model has been called as soon as, for example, "Saucer". Italian merchants gave the model of Louis XV this nickname. In France, this fireplace model is called "Pompadour Pla (t)".
"Pla(t)", because the processing of the front part and the legs of the fireplace is carried out in the same plane, without bulges, thus producing a single aesthetic effect.
Fireplaces "Pompadour" were very popular and were created in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries, but thanks to their discreet lines, these models fit perfectly into modern interiors.
